Dr. Maria Jividen
Owner/OrthodontistDr. Maria Jividen was born on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and grew up as an Air Force child, living in several places including six years in Europe. She considers the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area her home, having pursued most of her education and professional career locally. Dr. Jividen’s passion for orthodontics began after her own transformative experience with treatment. Inspired by an enthusiastic and generous orthodontist, she realized the profession perfectly combines her love for engineering, people, and service, allowing her to grow personally and professionally. Dr. Jividen is dedicated to delivering clinical excellence with modern, evidence-based care while prioritizing emotional safety for every patient, especially children and teens. She believes trust is the cornerstone of the doctor–patient relationship and emphasizes honest, clear, two-way communication throughout every interaction. Dr. Jividen is also committed to caring for her community through service trips and working with children with special needs. She is grateful to be able to support local families and aims to give every patient—no matter their age—a gentle, transparent, and empowering orthodontic experience. Fun fact: Dr. Jividen has a cat named Mr. Whiskers.
